How To Build A Sustainable Online Business By Kenneth

Making money online is hard, but building a sustainable online business is even harder. Is it true? Well, not quite, if you know the secrets.

Over the years, I have seen a couple of marketers who made quite a bit of money online and then quit internet marketing totally. Some of those whom I asked said they find it hard to maintain the income. Eventually, they got tired and gave up.

Like it or not, internet marketing is NOT a job. You can’t expect to be paid months after months, with increments every few years. If that’s what you are looking for, go get a JOB (a.k.a Just Over Broke).

Whether you are doing affiliate marketing, Adsense marketing or providing online services, internet marketing is a business, which means you need to keep on promoting your website or your income will drop. That’s where most ‘once successful’ marketers fail.

I started earning full-time income from the internet since 2006 and it’s been 4 years now. 4 years isn’t long, but I guess the fact that I’m still around and one of my flagship sites, LeadsLeap.com, is still doing well after 3 years, I think I’m qualified to share with you some tips on how to build a sustainable online business.

The Secrets Of Building A Sustainable Online Business

Let’s keep it simple. To me, there are only 2 secrets. 1) Passive income. 2) Passive traffic.

1) Passive Income

I’m sure you are familiar with the term ‘Passive Income’.

Passive income can be built in 2 ways:

i) Selling something with recurring fee, such as MLM, membership program, subscription-based services, etc.

Study your business and ask yourself if it has a passive income model. If it doesn’t, the money you make is just as good as winning a lottery. And you should rethink your business model.

For example, if you are an affiliate marketer in the Forex market, instead of promoting a Forex ebook, you should focus on promoting Forex membership programs. If you are a Forex expert, instead of writing a Forex ebook, you should create a Forex trading system. I believe you get the idea.

ii) Selling a one-time-fee product, but with continuous flow of traffic to make this income recurring.

If you happen to be in an industry that is hard to create a membership program, you will need to have continuous flow of traffic to your website so that there are people buying your ebook or clicking your Adsense ads all the time.

The question is, with so many traffic strategies available, which one should you focus on in order to get this continuous flow of traffic? This is when you need to understand the concept of Passive Traffic.

2) Passive Traffic

Many marketers talk about passive income. But very few marketers talk about passive traffic. To me, passive traffic is more important than passive income. It is an extremely important key to building a sustainable online business.

Passive traffic refers to traffic that come to your website without your active involvement in promoting your website for a few months. If you have an effective passive traffic system for your website, you can at least take a few weeks of break to do something else, such as developing a new business, instead of having to worry about traffic every day.

Is List Traffic Passive?

Thanks to the hype of list building, many people thought if they have a list, they are going to be rich. But the truth is, most ‘once-successful’ marketers have got a huge list, yet they quit.

List traffic is not truly passive. It is what I call recycled traffic. Your list’s interest in you and the product you offer may die sooner than you think, depending on the niche you are in. Hence it’s a good habit not to count on your list as a form of passive traffic.

Passive Traffic You Should Focus On

The first passive traffic is referral traffic. Having a referral system in your website is essential, but not enough. Referral traffic has to be nurtured. You have to give enough reasons for your affiliates to promote your products and services, else you can assume they won’t!

The second passive traffic is search engine traffic. But there is a catch. As you know, the main thing about search engine traffic is link building. To get consistent search engine traffic, you need consistent growth of backlinks to your website. That will be a time-consuming task for many marketers.

Last but not least is advertising traffic. Advertising traffic is not truly passive, but once it’s set up and tested, it can work for some time without much involvement from you. You may have to monitor the conversion regularly, but it’s not an everyday task.

In Conclusion

The best thing that can happen is to build a ‘passive income system’ with a ‘passive traffic system’. This is what I strive to achieve in all my online businesses and probably the reason that they can do well for years.

In this post, I mentioned that referral traffic has to be nurtured. In my next post, I’m going to discuss some ways to nurture your referrals. Stay tuned! BlogLinks

The Power Of SEO Backlinks – A Classic Example By Kenneth

First thing first, what is an SEO Backlink? How is it different from backlink?

Quoting the definition from Wikipedia, “Backlinks are incoming links to a website or web page.”

Technically, a backlink looks like this:

whatever text or can be the url itself

Backlinks are important, especially in determining the PageRank of your web page. But to rank high in organic search result, especially in Google, the most popular search engine, you need more than just backlink. You need SEO Backlink.

The difference?

Here’s my definition of SEO Backlink: “SEO backlinks are incoming links to a website or web page, with keywords in the link title (a.k.a anchor text).”

Technically, an SEO backlink looks like this:

keywords to rank in search engine

For example, a website may have lots of backlinks but it may not be able to rank high in Google for any keyword it wishes. To rank high for a particular keyword, say “buy iphone”, the website needs to have lots of backlinks with “buy iphone” in their anchor texts.

A Classic Example Showing The Power Of SEO Backlinks

In the SEO world, there is a classic example that can quickly show you the importance of SEO backlink.

The example is…. “click here”.

If you haven’t known the answer, guess who ranks #1 in Google for the phrase “click here”?

It’s the Adobe Reader download page.

If you study that download page, you’ll realize that you can’t find the phrase “click here” on that webpage at all, not in the meta tag, title tag or within the content!

So why does this webpage rank #1 for “click here”?

There is only one reason: tons of other websites are linking to this webpage with the anchor text “click here” or “click here to download”.

By the way, the #1 position for “click here to download” is also the Adobe Reader download page.

Are you seeing the light now?

Get Ready For A Revolutionary One-Way Link Building System

Over the past 1 year, I’ve been working extremely hard on a powerful one-way link building system that can help you to build not just a few hundreds but unlimited backlinks for unlimited domains. (You know that I run hundreds of niche sites. If this system can satisfy my needs, I guess it can satisfy most marketers’ needs.)

The system is now completed and it is now undergoing beta testing with some 130 LeadsLeap members. Thanks to all the feedbacks from the beta members, we’re busy improving the system. I’ll keep you’re informed when the system is ready.BlogLinks

Basic Copywriting Tricks That All Marketers Must Know By Kenneth

Personally, I think copywriting skill is something every marketer should learn. I know some people may disagree and they prefer to outsource copywriting. It’s probably the right thing to do if you have the budget. But if you are just starting out, it is better to know how to do it yourself.

Below are some basic copywriting tricks that you can use. Keep this page handy. Whenever you need to write a sales copy, just come back here to check if you’ve done these tricks.

1) Use An Action Button That Invoke Imagination

Most action buttons use words like “Submit Now”, “Subscribe Now”, “Send Now”, “Sign Up Now” or “Buy Now”. You see them being used in mega sites like Amazon, Ebay etc. But in copywriting, we don’t use these words. The experts say they have done the tests (honestly I haven’t, I merely follow what they say and so far it’s been working). These are the words to be used in an action button:

- Get Your Instant Access Now
- Download Now
- I Want The Report Now
- Show Me The Money

Generally you want to use words that invoke imagination and expectation. You want them to form a mental picture of what they can look forward to if they click the button. This way, it will make them feel that they are missing out on something if they don’t click!

2) Use The Power Of Subheadlines

If you are writing a sales letter instead of a squeeze page, it is important to break the paragraphs into subheadlines.

Studies have shown that people don’t read a sales letter from head to toe. Instead, they will just scan through. In the process of scanning, they are likely to read the subheadlines. They will only read the rest of the content if they find it interesting.

The subheadlines serve two purposes:

I) They must arouse people’s curiosity so that they will read the details.
II) They are like the content page of a book. By simply reading all the subheadline from head to toe, it should give the reader a brief idea of what the sales letter is talking about.

When your sales letter is completed, do this: Read only the headline and subheadlines from the top to bottom of the letter. Then ask yourself if you see a logical flow in the sales letter. If you do, you have more or less served Purpose II. Next, look at each subheadline and see how you can make it more intriguing, so as to serve Purpose I.

3) Use The Power Of Subheadlines Again

Testimonials is a must in a sales letter. The more the merrier. But overwhelming a sales letter with testimonials isn’t the right way to do it.

Again, the trick is to use subheadlines. What you can do is take a short phrase from the testimonial and use it as a subheadline for that testimonial.

People are not likely to read all the testimonials. By using subheadlines, they are more likely to get the gist of the testimonials and hence form a better impression of your product.

4) Use Words That Gain Attention

Some words are more likely to gain people’s attention. In a long sales letter, it is important to use these words throughout the letter to encourage the readers to read on.

Here’s a list of such words
- Imagine …
- Imagine this. …
- Can you imagine …
- You see, …
- Now, …
- Look, …
- Simple isn’t it?
- You’re probably thinking, “…….”
- Ok, …
- Wait! …
- Yes! …

5) KISS (Keep It Short And Simple)

I know, the experts have been saying that long sales letters sell better. But we also know that people don’t like to read.

A good sales letter is long because it has to include many things, such as testimonials, product benefits, how it works etc. It is not long for the sake of being draggy and beating around the bush.

It is your job to keep the sales letter short, yet still provide enough information to build prospects’ confidence in your product.

Here are some good practice to make a long sales letter short and simple.

- Avoid very long sentence. As a rule of thumb, if a sentence can be split into two sentences, do it.
- Vary between short and long sentences.
- Use short paragraphs. A paragraph can be as short as 1 sentence! Paragraphs with 3 or more sentences are considered long.
- Use active voice instead of passive voice.
- Use simple vocabulary and sentence construction that even a kid can understand.
- Write as if you are talking to them. Forget about those essay writing skills taught in school.

Copywriting is not rocket science. With some simple tricks, you too can write an effective sales letter like the pros. BlogLinks

LeadsLeap 2.0 Is Ready. Check Out What’s New… By: Kenneth (Admin) on January 16, 2016 14

After months of hard work, LeadsLeap 2.0 is finally ready!

In this blog, I will highlight some of the new features that will thrill you.

1) Everyone Makes Money, Guaranteed

How can everyone makes money?

There is only one way – we share our revenue with everyone, without members buying anything or referring anyone.

In LeadsLeap 2.0, we added 2 exciting ways to make money.

1. By simply viewing ads.

Simply by viewing at least 10 ads a day, you will be entitled to share 5% of our daily revenue (10% if you are a Pro Member).

The earnings depend on how much credits you earn. How much credits you earn depends how long you surf on an ad. The longer you surf an ad, the more credits you earn, and the more money you will share.

Payout is made daily.

With this scheme, everyone should make some money in LeadsLeap.

2. By sending traffic to ads.

Many of you are already doing that to earn credits. Now we want to pay you in cash!

Simply add LeadsLeap Widget to your website or use The Real Tracker with ad widget. When people click the ads in the widget, you make money.

The earnings are calculated based on the number of third party traffic you send. The revenue share is 15% (30% if you are a Pro Member).

Payout is made weekly on every Friday.

2) One Email A Day System

This is another important change to the system.

We’ve created a smart mailing system that will send out 1 email to you everyday, at your preferred hour.

That email will include the latest update in your account, such as your daily earnings, your daily referrals or whether your ad is expiring.

Whatever the message is, you will only receive 1 email a day from us.

Like before, the daily email will come with ads and upline messages on one side.

Now there is no need to login to LeadsLeap everyday to view ads. You can simply access our ad system from the daily email.

For those who are lazy to login, now you have it.

Just visit 10 ads a day and you will be entitled to 5% Daily Revenue Sharing.

3) 30-day Activity Clause

An important feature of the new Daily Email System is that it will stop sending you email if you are inactive for more than 30 days.

Inactive means you haven’t logged in or earned any credit.

Don’t worry if you are using our tools. Your account is still working. Only the Daily Email System is stopped.

We added this feature to protect your privacy and also to ensure that we have a ‘clean’ list. It’s win-win.

If you are stopped from our Daily Email, you can restart it automatically by simply logging in to your account.

4) More Benefits For Pro Members

First, you already know that Pro Members will double their earnings in the two new revenue sharing schemes.

Second, we added a new feature called “Spillover Downline”.

What happen is not every member has 10 uplines. For these members, the empty upline slots will be filled by Pro Members.

These are permanent placement. Pro Members can reach out to them via the Downline Message System, for life, even if they downgrade their accounts.

5) Minimum Payout Reduced To $10

We reduced the minimum payout from $100 to $10. This makes it easy for members to cash out, especially those who only intend to view ads.

6) Traffic Tracking Charts For All Ads

Last but not least, we’ve added a charting system to track all your ads, similar to what we do in The Real Tracker.

From now on, there is no need to track LeadsLeap ads using The Real Tracker, because it’s already done for in our ad system.

You can view consolidated traffic stats or traffic stats for individual ad.

The stats include Unique Traffic, Non-Member Traffic and Surfing Duration. You can also filter the stats by member and non-member.

Important Things To Take Note

LeadsLeap 2.0 is now in Beta phase. We will test run the system before launching it.

If you discover any inconsistency or see any error, please report to us immediately. I really appreciate it.

Our homepage, leadsleap.com, is now closed.

Don’t worry if you have been promoting LeadsLeap. Your referral link will be redirected to a special backdoor page. Your leads can still sign up via the backdoor. No referral will be lost.

Our official launch date is 16 February 2016, Tuesday. Take note of this date.

There will be a $2600 Launch Contest for this launch. Details can be found in your member’s area. Be sure to check it out.
